In 1945 in the hamlet of Arina lived 1700 people, while today only 500. This shows which social, cultural and environmental dramatic collapse has suffered this patch of land that rises between the Senaiga valley and the wild Valpora. In good weather you can admire a magnificent panorama: westwards the Agaro and the Lagorai mountains; towards north Mt. Coppolo and the Vette Feltrine peaks and towards east and south the wooded ridge of Cima Campo. The Campigotti village has ancient origins that can be traced back to an Ostogoths’ settlement that settled around 500 AD. Although it doesn’t have a favorable exposure, it was the most populated center of Arina. From here riding up along the route you will arrive to Totti, a wide “saddle” at the foot of Col della Baìa, where woods alternate with meadows. Passed the old tavern of Cavalea, you will soon reach the fields and mountain huts of Braus where you can enjoy a stunning view. In summer the fields get enriched with showy blooms, featuring some protected species.
