The Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park, officially established in 1990, is distinguished by its great variety of environments and the richness and diversity of its flora. The area is home to a multitude of animal and plant species that find their ideal habitat in the Park. The Vette Feltrine area, nestled within the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park, boasts a floristic richness that has attracted botanists and herbalists for centuries. Until the 1970s, numerous mountain huts, some of which have been recently renovated, were used for the summer pasturing of sheep and cattle, a practice that still continues in some of them today.
